What the tool does

📋 Excel-first data entry

Enter your stock journal lines in a familiar Excel table — item name, godown, quantity, rate, batch, and all the details Tally needs. Auto-complete for your Tally masters keeps it fast.

🔄 One-click Tally import

Press the Post to Tally button. The tool generates Tally-compatible XML and sends it via Tally's HTTP XML gateway. All entries appear in Tally instantly.

✅ Validation before posting

The tool validates every row before sending — blank items, mismatched godowns, and zero-quantity lines are flagged in-sheet so you can fix them before a single wrong entry reaches Tally.

🔐 Licence-protected, offline

No internet required to run. The licence check happens once on activation (online) and then every 24 hours in the background. Your Tally data never leaves your network.

How to get started

1

Purchase & receive your key

Pay via UPI on the buy page. After the admin verifies payment (typically under 12 hours), your licence key and a GST invoice arrive by email.

2

Download and open the workbook

Download TallyStockJournal_ExcelToTool.xlsm from the email link, open it in Excel 2016 or later with macros enabled, and paste your key when prompted.

3

Configure your Tally connection

Ensure Tally Prime is open with "Enable ODBC / Remote Access" set to Yes (port 9000 by default). The tool auto-detects Tally on the local machine.

4

Fill in your entries and post

Enter your stock journal data in the Excel sheet, click Post to Tally, and verify the entries inside Tally Prime. Done.
